You Will Find A Big Choice Of Cheap Golf Accessories Online

by Mick Euan Tait

As golf equipment is quite expensive, it is no wonder that golfers are looking for cheap golf accessories. After spending a small fortune on a complete set of clubs and some golf balls, you will probably want to spend a minimum on golf accessories.

The veteran golfer will have his own golf equipment already but may find that they need a few extra golf accessories. The beginner golfer, on the other hand, after buying their golf clubs and balls, still have to consider all the different golf accessories that they still need to buy.

Looking for cheap golf accessories online is a good idea. The reason for this is that the online golf shops can present you with an enormous range of golf accessories, and because of their lower overheads, they can beat the prices of an off line golf shop. When starting to golf, you have to choose the golf accessories that are absolutely essential.

The golf accessories category is normally every single item of golf equipment excluding the golf clubs, golf balls, and golf shoes. You could find that a few online golf stores put golf bags and golf apparel into separate categories while others will have them in a general golf accessories category.

Normally, when you buy a full set of golf clubs, you will get a golf bag and maybe golf balls included in the package. If not, the first major accessory that will be on your shopping list will be a golf bag. Most online golf stores will present you with a big selection of golf bags but you must decide first of all what type of golf bag is for you.

Golf bag types include the carry golf bag and the stand golf bag - both bags are designed to be carried on your shoulder with the difference being that the stand bag has a fold out stand to stand it upright that keeps the bag from getting dirty or wet. Another type is the cart bag which has the benefit that it is somewhat larger and can so fit more gear inside - they are made to be put on a push cart or an electric cart. Lastly, there are staff or tour golf bags which are considerably much larger and heavier but are normally only carried by caddies for the touring pros.

If you go with a cart bag then you will have to buy a golf cart. Electric carts are useful for seniors and people that can’t get around the golf course easily but they are a lot more expensive - also, make sure you charge the battery fully or you will have to push it manually and they are really heavy. If you like walking the course then a push cart is for you and they are reasonably priced. Todays push carts are lightweight, well-built, maneuverable, and they fold up to fit in the car.

The only other items that you will need are small cheap golf accessories; golf tees, golf ball markers, a divot tool, and a golf glove. You can find all of these items of golf accessories online at very reasonable prices. The only other items that you might need, if you play golf in a region where it can rain at any given moment, are a golf umbrella and golf towel.

There are some items that you can do without when first starting out, like golf apparel - just use your regular clothes but make sure they are within the dress code of your local golf club and that they are comfy for playing golf. So, if you want to save some money, buy cheap golf accessories online.

Which Golf Training Products Do You Really Need?

by Mick Euan Tait

When it comes to golf training products there is certainly no shortage of choices. You have to know what you are looking for and why if you are thinking about buying golf training products. After all, you could spend a fortune on various golf aids and not see any improvement in your game.

Even though you don’t have any major problems with your game, there is still room for improvement in some area or other. Maybe you could find a way of getting more distance with your drives or play more consistently; or maybe you should look at some golf strength training aids to help you get fit for golf.

As there are so many types of golf training products, in this article I will go over the top 4 categories that can help you. First, you will have to establish why you are in need of a golf training aid. Once you know the why you will have a better understanding of which particular problem in your golf game you need to improve.

You may not want to try golf training equipment just yet - as an alternative you could check some golf guides or eBooks, or even some golf DVD’s that deal with a definite area that you need help with. There are several great eBooks or DVD’s that can help you with all areas of your game; your golf swing, golf stretching exercises, how to fix a slice, golf fitness programs, or golf lessons in general. If you would rather try out some golf training products or aids, then check out the following categories:

Full Swing Training Aids: This is the biggest category of them all, but not all products that are lumped into it are a complete golf swing solution. Probably the best full swing trainers are the hinged golf clubs like the Medicus Dual Hinge Driver or the Refiner hinged training clubs. Next, you could try the Leadbetter Swing Setter or weighted golf clubs like the Momentus weighted driver. Finally, a full circle swing trainer like the Explaner can really help you with the full swing.

Golf Fitness Training Aids: These products should be considered by all golfers because once you are fit for golf you will see a marked improvement in your golf game. The leader in this category is the GolfGym range of fitness training products. Weighted golf clubs are also another excellent way to build up your golf specific muscles as well as increase your flexibility. The Explaner that I mentioned before uses a weighted roller that also tones up your golf muscles and range of movement.

Golf Grip Training Aids: You can’t have a great golf swing without having a good golf grip, so golf grip training aids are very useful if you are not comfortable with your grip. Some of the most popular of these aids are golf gloves that are specially designed to teach you the proper grip and pressure every time and a specially shaped grip that fits on top of your normal grip. If you want to strengthen the muscles of your hands and wrists, there are also grip aids designed for that.

Putting Training Aids: As a good putting game can significantly lower your score, there are many golf putting aids to help you perfect this area of your game. Some putting aids use a laser to help you with alignment and others are used to help with the all important aspect of good tempo. For alignment, there are many putting tracks or guides available, and if you need help with the correct position of your forearms and hands, there are several braces that can help.

These are the top 4 categories of golf training products. The other categories are all more focused on specifics of the golf swing - swing plane, alignment, golf tempo, weight transfer, balance, release, impact position, and short game training aids. As you can appreciate, there is a very specific golf training product for each specific area of the golf game. Just remember to buy only the golf training aid that specifically trains you in the area of the golf game that you need to improve.

How to cut that Cuban cigar

by Juan Pedro

Almost everything that has to do with cigars is surrounded by some sort of tradition. This tradition may have been passed down to you by other individuals or it might be something that you do every time that you pick up a cigar of your own.

Just look at how a Cuban cigar is cut before it is ready to be enjoyed by you and me. If you cut the cigar right, you’ll have a great time but if you mess up, than you are going to be in trouble. There are various ways of cutting your Cuban cigar, it all depends on what your style is and how you want to go about it.

So before you begin to cut it, have a quick look at the end of your Cuban cigar. Upon close inspection, you will discover that a cap is placed, made from Cuban tobacco leaves to seal the freshness of your cigar and to let you know what area to cut. This is the part that you must eliminate and draw you smoke from. Caps are standard in all Cuban cigars and are placed with the up most skill.

Clip it too far and the cigar will start getting loose and eventually the Cuban tobacco will fall out. You must understand these are hand rolled, although hand rolling is much better than machine rolled, you still have to be careful and not damage your cigar entirely. Try opening it up by seventy five percent - just the cap that is.

So what cutter should you get? I suggest trying out the Snap cutter or also known as the ‘guillotine’. You basically slide your cigar inside it and quickly drop the blade on the outer cap. These are well known and most preferred as you can fit them in you suit jacket and take them on the go with you. Plus the cuts it makes is perfect for all Cuban cigar lovers. This blade was invented somewhat recently and has caught on fairly well with the rest of the Cuban cigar smoking crowd.

So what cutter should you get? All of them friend because Cuban cigars come in multiple shapes and sizes. Some have a thicker ring gauge than others and some are just shaped completely different like the torpedo which is shaped like a little torpedo. Yes the variety Cuban cigars come in is truly appreciated. So at the end of the day, you should have all the cutters required so you never end up missing out on a nice relaxing occasion of smoking Cuban cigars.

This can work quite well but I personally do not like to use scissors for several different reasons. First of all, I find that they do not make as nice of a cut as a guillotine cutter and secondly, they are difficult to carry around. Take a look at your local cigar supplier and find one that you think you would like for yourself. It will soon simply become part of your cigar tradition.

It’s the Cubans Embargo’s fault

by Trevor Wallace

Only the best cigars come from Cuban, any cigar smoke can tell you that. Montecristo, Partagas, Romeo Y Julieta, I mean the list just goes on of the ever popular Cuban cigar brands. If you want to live the ‘blessed’ life, make sure you got Cuban cigars added to your list. Cuban cigars represent that you’ve made it and you are now enjoying life. Here in lies a dilemma though especially if you reside in the US of A. Cuban cigars are banned in the United States and to get them, you have to purchase from the internet or step out of the United States borders.

Cuban cigars are 100% forbidden in the United States of America. It is with great sadness that I must report that this ban is not limited to Cuban stogies but everything that is made in Cuba. Permission to trade between these two countries can do so much good but I guess politics are politics. If you really want, you can purchase pre-embargo Cuban cigars but good luck finding them. They either are all ’smoked out’ or they are going for literally thousands of dollars a stick.

If you reside in America, their are 2 ways that you can utilize to get Cuban cigars right now. So the first way is to get on the plane and go down to your neighbors up north. I’m referring to the great country they call Canada. Since the supply of Cuban cigars is controlled by Cuban certified distributors, you will always get real Cuban cigars. As long as you get them from certified distributors. Second choice is to get on google, do a search for discount Cuban cigars and go from there.

Since all online retailers reside in places outside of the USA, they can ship you the Cuban cigars. Just make sure you are dealing with a certified website retailer. Beware of the fake Cuban cigar dealers as ninety percent of them are selling fake Cuban cigars. They take cheap cigars and disguise them as Cubans simply by replacing the band on them.

Fake Cuban cigars are a problem everywhere and you should use your common sense and proper judgement before you dish out your hard earned dollar bills. Since most people never held a real authentic Cuban cigar before, it’s quite easily to fool them. Most companies on the internet just ship out Dominican cigars with Cuban cigar bands on them. Very sad for the Cuban cigar enthusiast and people who love them alike. When traveling, purchase from and authorized retailer and never from a mom and pop store - you are guaranteed to get a Mexican cigar disguised as Cuban from them. Until the embargo is taken off, it is still possible to get real Cuban cigars, you just have to find them.

How to spot a fake Cuban cigar

by Trevor Wallace

If you are smoking Cuban cigars in the United States, watch out as they are illegal. This is due to the trade embargo placed by John F. Kennedy. Actually if you are a US citizen, you can’t enjoy any Cuban products. However, the true Cuban cigar lover isn’t stopped by this and regrettably, a lot of people around the world have been taking advantage of such normal day folks by selling them fake cuban cigars.

One of the main problems that you’re going to run into if you decide to purchase a Cuban cigar is the fact that it may be counterfeit. It doesn’t matter what kind of high priced item you’re talking about, if it is in demand, there is going to be a counterfeit that is available. This is true whether you’re talking about watches, pocketbooks or any other item which can be easily duplicated. If you keep your eye open and know what you’re talking about, however, it is fairly easy to spot one of these imitations.

Fake cigars are being sold to naive tourists who are just trying to have a good time on their vacation. You’ll find these sellers using other South American cigars disguised as Cubans and they will sell it to you for less than one hundred bucks a box. It’s actually pretty funny how many people fall for it but once they touch a real Cuban cigar, their heads hang low in shame.

So the process of identifying a Cuban cigar is actually a little tricky. But some of the main things to look for is to make sure the Cuban cigar (If you ever do decide to buy it from the streets) doesn’t come in some plastic wrapper. Scam artists usually put them in cellophane wrappers. No real Cuban cigar ever comes in a cellophane wrapper. Their is the Fonseca brand but it comes wrapped in a very tiny sheet of almost silk like paper.

If it’s too low, you better go! Yes when it comes to a fine product such as Cuban cigar, it is considered fairly expensive by the majority of people. It is a product of class and beauty and has centuries of rich history backing it up. Even the process of hand rolling a Cuban cigar has hardly changed since its inception in 1492. So if it’s too cheap, listen to that little voice inside your head, it’s usually right.

That is a fake Cuban cigar

by Trevor Wallace

If you are smoking Cuban cigars in the United States, watch out as they are illegal. This is due to the trade embargo placed by John F. Kennedy. Actually if you are a US citizen, you can’t enjoy any Cuban products. However, the true Cuban cigar lover isn’t stopped by this and regrettably, a lot of people around the world have been taking advantage of such normal day folks by selling them fake cuban cigars.

If you are in search for a high priced item like a Cuban cigar, you are most likely to run into fake ones. It’s just the nature of the beast, if something sells, people will try to create horrible knock-offs of it and sell your for cheaper. The good news is it is really easy to spot a Cuban cigar, especially if you’ve already smoked one of these beauties before. There are several things you should look at but once you hold that Cuban cigar in your hand, trust me, you will know. The quality of the Cuban cigar just can’t be matched.

There are many different ways to actually spot which cigar is fake and which one is real. You need to be familiar, however, with how an actual Cuban cigar is rolled and packaged. For example, some fake Cuban cigars will come in a cellophane wrapper whenever the real product is never wrapped in cellophane. You can also look for errors that may be occurring in the wrapper or the packaging. Even though these differences may be slight, they are easy to spot if you have a distinguishing eye.

Plus the main indication that should turn on your radar is the price that you are getting the Cuban cigars at. If its cheap like $100 to $200 a box, you are being had. Go to Cuba and they will give you this look if you ask for Cuban cigars for that price. Cubans take their Cuban cigars very personally and rightfully so. It’s a product that has history going back for hundred of years and if someone is selling it to you for that low, they are simply insulting your intelligence. Not to mention you are completely wasting your money.

How To Choose The Best Golf Balls For Your Game

by Mick Euan Tait

If you are playing golf with golf balls that don’t suit your game, they could be adversely affecting your shot making ability. You need to play the right golf balls for your playing ability; you don’t want to give up accuracy or control to gain 5 yards.

So, how can you tell which are the best golf balls for your skill level and your physical ability? First and most important is to understand a few golf ball specifications and what they mean.

In this article I will not bore you with technical details about the the number of dimples on a golf ball, the materials that make up each layer of the ball, the diameter of a golf ball, or the weight. These details won’t make any difference to you choosing the right golf ball, so I will stick to the most important specifications.

One Piece Golf Balls

The 1-piece golf ball is made from one piece of a solid material and is usually only used on the driving range, as a practice ball, or sometimes by beginners. For this purpose, they are adequate as they are very durable and cheap - the downside is that they aren’t good for distance.

The Two Piece Golf Ball

Two-piece golf balls have just a solid core and a tough outer covering which makes them very resilient. They are very popular with the casual golfer because of their maximum distance. They get the distance from the fact that they are a firm feel ball with a low spin rate - this causes them to roll along the fairway when they land. The downside is their lack of control because of the firmness of the ball.

3-Piece Golf Balls

Three-piece balls have a solid or sometimes liquid inner core followed by a secondary core and then covered by an outer cover. Skillful golfers generally use these balls as they can control the extra spin and soft feel of them around the green. They are controllable for teeing off and so more accurate and the spin rate and feel factor makes them a good ball for short irons and chipping.

Four-Piece Balls

With golf ball technology advancing at a rapid rate, the latest improvement is the four-piece ball. They combine the characteristics of good distance, spin, and feel; they are generally marketed towards the more skilled golfer up to the PGA pro golfers. Each of the four layers helps the ball to perform to the maximum for distance, spin, and feel. You get great distance with the driver, plenty of spin with your middle irons, and enough control with your wedges and feel with your putter.

Low Spin Golf Balls

Low spin golf balls spin less and therefore they don’t carry as far but they will roll further on the fairway. The low spin doesn’t just apply to back spin but also to side spin, which makes them less likely to hook or slice and so are suited to higher handicap players looking for straighter shots.

Mid Spin Balls

Most golfers are quite happy with the mid spin rated golf balls. They give you a good blend of distance and feel resulting in more consistency and a decent length off the tee. The softness factor can differ a lot from brand to brand so you have to try different ones to get the ball that feels comfortable for you.

High Spin Rated Golf Balls

As these balls spin the most they create more backspin which keeps the ball in the air the longest and so has the biggest carry. Although they won’t run far on the fairway, you get the benefit of great control around and on the greens as they have more feel.

Firm Feel Balls

Firm feel golf balls are the ones that feel hard off the club face. Most distance golf balls are firm ones, so although you will get maximum distance you will loose feel around the greens. Most high handicappers like the firm feel balls for their distance as they prefer distance to the ability to spin the ball on the greens. These are the most durable of all golf balls so they will hardly scuff or mark at all.

Mid Feel Golf Balls

The most common ball for the mid handicap golfer is the mid-feel ball because they offer good control, feel, and distance.

Soft Feel Golf Balls

Soft feel golf balls are preferred by low handicappers and professional golfers. The best players can use their skill to work these balls any way they like. They are great for the short game where spin and the soft feel make them ideal. They are generally not suited to the casual golfer because they are not so good for distance and the soft cover scuffs easily.

Golf Ball Compression

The feel factor relates directly to the compression rate. Most golf balls are rated by the amount that they compress; a compression of 0 deforms by 0.2 inches or more and a compression of 200 does not compress at all. Soft feel balls are low compression golf balls that have a compression rating of around 50 to 70; whereas hard feel golf balls are high compression that are rated at around 100 or 110. Manufacturers can use different systems to rate their balls so they can differ from brand to brand.

It is generally recommended that slow swing speed golfers use golf balls with a compression rate of 80; golfers with an average swing speed should use compression 100; and Compression 110 is best for fast swing speed golfers.

The weather can also affect the different compressions of a golf ball so you should choose different compressions depending on the weather conditions. As balls don’t compress as much when it is cold you should use low compression balls. Consequently, use higher compression golf balls when it is hotter.

You should also take into account the condition of the golf course; with sun scorched, hard fairways, you will need a soft feel golf ball that spins more so that you can control it when it hits the fairway or green. If the course is sodden, you will need a golf ball that carries further and that has less spin so that you have more possibility of greater distance.

Cuban Cigars For The First Timer

by Trevor Wallace

If you ever catch yourself around hardcore Cuban cigar smokers, you will see the passion each one has for their smokes. I never really bought it until I had my first Cuban cigar. Each Cuban cigar is very unique in it’s own way and smells definitely different. Cuban cigars range from light to strong in taste, the popular ones are actually really strong and you have to work your way up to it. Like Cohibas, Montecristos, Partagas etc. The amazing thing about these cigars is sometimes you’ll feel aromas of chocolate and vanilla and such and the funny thing is none of these things are ever added. It’s just natural beauty of the Cuban tobacco.

I suggest you grab your self a milder Cuban cigar and get a taste of what a Cuban cigar is like. Observe the construction, the styling even the cigar brand. You’ll begin to see the true beauty of the Cuban cigar. Did you know that ninety nine percent of Cuban cigars are hand rolled. Plus the tobacco used in them are actually real tobacco leaves unlike cigarettes where they chop up the leaves and mix it with god knows what.

The amazing thing about Cuban cigars is you can get them in various shapes and sizes. My personal favorite is the Cohiba Robusto. Its not too long and the thickness is perfect. I had my last Cohiba Robusto with some wine and it was phenomenal. Almost every Cuban cigar smoker has their own favorite. Some like the Rome Y Julieta, some like H.Upmanns (John F Kennedy’s favorite brand). Once you start smoking Cuban cigars, you’ll find one suited just for you, I guarantee it. Plus every once in a while Havana (Where Cuban cigars are made) introduces a new product so you always have a new Cuban cigar to try.

Of course, there are a variety of different brands and you should not limit yourself to just one. Each of them will bring something special to the table that you are able to enjoy whenever you are relaxing. Since they can be difficult to come by, however, you need to make sure that they are used for special occasions. They are perfect for sharing with good friends and for making an enjoyable evening all that much more special.

One thing that you’re going to need to be careful of, however, is imitation Cuban cigars. This is especially the case in the United States where Cuban cigars are illegal to sell or to smoke. In fact, many people that live in the United States never actually get to enjoy a true Cuban cigar unless they are on a cruise ship or in another special situation.
